As a new generation of Italians brought espresso and ‘la dolce vita’ to London in the 50s, our father Simone Lavarini and his friend Lorenzo Fraquelli decided it was time to introduce the locals to a real deal trattoria.
‘Spaghetti, but not on toast’ is how Papa and Lorenzo launched their exciting restaurant to hungry Londoners ready to try something new, sparking a generational love affair with our food. No red and white tablecloths. No candles in Chianti bottles. No faux-Italian. Just honest food, prepared by people who care.
Times might have changed in the nearly seven decades since, but that all still holds true. Our dedication to showcasing the best of classic Italian cooking remains our secret sauce.
Spaghetti House. You’re welcome.
