Cowdray is a dynamic and progressive Estate. As a destination Cowdray offers a range of premium country pursuits from golf on our Championship course, our award winning clay-pigeon shooting school, fly fishing on the river Rother, walking, cycling, riding, polo, both spectating and learning to play, to hospitality at the Farm Shop & Café, holiday cottages, wedding venues and the stunning Cowdray House, set at the heart of the Estate, available for private stays and events.

Open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, our menu is created by our team of chefs to provide delicious dishes from favourites such as our famous Full English and our Cowdray burger and triple cooked chips, to inspiring vegetarian and vegan dishes. We pride ourselves on catering for differing tastes and dietary requirements and we will happily accommodate any individual requests if we can.
We use estate produce and other local suppliers for our ingredients where possible, ensuring a connection to the same beautiful landscape that our customers can view as they dine.
COOKED FROM SCRATCH
Our team freshly prepare all the food which is served in the Café. We use local suppliers where possible such as Ouse Valley Foods for our jams and chutneys, Nutbourne Nurseries for our tomatoes (seasonal) and the lamb, beef and venison is Estate reared while all of the chicken we use is free range.
DELICIOUS FOOD
Our Farm Shop Café serves breakfast, sandwiches, snacks and substantial meals made from scratch using traditional artisan techniques as well as the best Cowdray and local produce. We do not take table reservations.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Our Farm Shop Café seats 40 people inside and there is exterior seating on the terrace with a large heated umbrella, popular with dog walkers in the winter months. Dogs are welcome outside the Café and water bowls are provided. You can even treat your dog to one of our homemade dog biscuits.
